Established in 1987, Italy’s dot IT country-code top-level extension is really popular both locally and in the English-speaking world. Because dot IT domains are not registered directly by IT-NIC, the Registry that administrates this TLD, such a domain can be bought through a third-party domain provider, such as ours. Since there are existing Second-Level Domains that include names of various regions and localities in Italy reserved for local third-level registrations, new names that include geographical regions of any kind are not permitted on any level to avoid any future confusion.
